A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates it. That company processes the query and supplies any result. Bayfield County Criminal History does not keep or record those search terms on its own systems.

It identifies official routes through the Bayfield County Sheriff, Wisconsin Circuit Court, Wisconsin Department of Justice Crime Information Bureau, and Wisconsin Public Sex Offender Registry. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not turned into a consumer report or third-party criminal file.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information entered there is governed by the provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider decides how long to keep data and when to share it. Review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to a sheriff page, court portal, Wisconsin agency, legal service, or outside search provider. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy rules control. Read them before supplying personal information.
Some advertising providers may follow activity across websites to select ads. That processing occurs through their systems.
